Music Has The Same Effect On The Brain As Sex!
Most people I know love music. With that said, most people I know have trouble explaining exactly WHY they love it (myself included). However, science did a pretty good job of that and the explanation goes a little something like this!
Basically, music turns us on and has the power to release high amounts of the neurotransmitter dopamine in the brain – the same chemical that regulates the neurochemistry of love. It also simulates a reward circuit that functions just like a person who is doing drugs – the more we get of it, the better we feel.
